A: The Beyond the Resume Workshop* is an intensive, non-traditional job search seminar designed to help you:
- Discover your unique strengths and talents.
- Attract the right job offers for YOU.
Q: What kind of skills will I learn?
A: You will learn how to speak about your strengths in job interviews, how to find potential job opportunities by making contacts and how to attract jobs. You’ll learn how to negotiate for promotions and pay increases.
A: Resume writing is not covered. Instead, you will create a personal report that highlights your strengths. You’ll learn to use your report in making contacts. The report is a nice complement to a traditional resume. Amanda can work with you on your resume on an individual basis if desired.
A: Beyond the Resume* is an interactive group process facilitated by Amanda Johnson, founder of Career Solutions Plus. Much of the work is done in small groups. These groups become an important source of support during and after the workshop. You will experience short lectures, pair and group work, individual time for reflection and writing, discussions and a variety of practical exercises to take you through the process.
A: No. Please take this workshop at a time when you will be able to complete the whole process. It is a dynamic process that builds on each preceding exercise. Your group members also need your input.
A: About one week before the workshop, you will receive a pre-workshop packet to complete and bring to the workshop. The packet includes exercises to help you begin identifying your good experiences –- things in your life you are good at and enjoy doing.
A: Yes, the pre-workshop packet is important. You will draw on it early in the workshop. It takes both time and reflection to complete, and is well worth the effort!
A: We think you’ll find this workshop is of high value. You will receive:

- And most importantly, you take with you more knowledge about yourself and the confidence to reach your goals.

A. Decide on the best payment option and contact Amanda. She will reserve your space and send the pre-work on receipt of your check. See below for payment options.

Pay in two installments: $155 per payment
Pay in four installments of $80 per payment
First payment due to reserve space and receive pre-work. Additonal installments due on the first, second, third day of class. Checks should be made payable to: Career Solutions Plus, 21524 NE 9th Place, Sammamish, WA 98074. No refunds if cancellation is within two weeks of class.
